Somos Votantes, Priorities USA, and League of Conservation Voters Launch $200,000 Bilingual Ad Buy Targeting Latino Voters in Texas

The Digital Ad Campaign Includes Investments in YouTube Aimed at Engaging and Mobilizing Low-Propensity Latino Voters

SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 28, 2024) – Somos Votantes, Priorities USA, and the League of Conservation Voters launched a $200K digital ad buy in Texas to encourage low-propensity Latino voters to turn out and vote by November 5th. The non-partisan bilingual ad campaign features ads highlighting the importance of finding our reasons to vote and making our voices heard. The ads will run across various digital platforms, with investments in YouTube, a critical platform for reaching Latinos online.

The first 30 second spot, Missing Player, spotlights the power each voter has in this election, forming part of a larger team where every team member plays an essential part in achieving a goal. The second spot, Reasons, illustrates the different reasons voters have to cast their ballot, from the roads one uses for their morning commute to being able to access affordable housing, and encourages voters to find their reason to vote by November 5th.

"A better and more affordable future is possible – but it all starts with us," said Melissa Morales, President and Founder of Somos Votantes. "Together, we have the power to vote  to make our voices heard on lowering costs and creating more opportunities for working people. That's why we are excited to announce our latest campaign with Priorities USA and the League of Conservation Voters to ensure Latinos in Texas exercise their power by making a plan to vote by November 5th."

“Voting is not merely about casting a ballot, it’s a powerful declaration about who we are and where we want to go as a country,” said Danielle Butterfield, Executive Director, Priorities USA. “We are excited to partner with Somos and LCV in this final stretch of the election to ensure that every person shows up, votes and takes action in this critical process.”

“This mobilization campaign is designed to meet voters where they are,” said  Eva Estrada, Campaigns Director for the League of Conservation Voters. “We are working to ensure that they know that their vote is critical in this election cycle and can make a difference.”

As demonstrated by Equis Research findings, YouTube is the most critical platform for reaching Latino audiences, where Latino audiences spend 2x the time compared to non-Latino adults. Last year, Somos Votantes launched Somos Pilares, a people-centered campaign in Texas aimed at uplifting the stories of hardworking Texans through organizing and paid media, including TV and digital ads.
